Born in Taitung, Taiwan in 1965
In 1984, I entered the photography career, from the early days of shooting low-priced export magazines, to a design company specializing in catalog production, and finally I came into contact with 4A advertisements.
In July 1997, Lvtian Photography Co., Ltd. was established. The main business is advertising companies, specializing in advertisements and product photography endorsed by artists.
With more than 30 years of photography experience, he has executed numerous well-known advertisements at home and abroad, and won many domestic and foreign print advertising awards.
In my long career in advertising photography for more than 30 years, I have always been committed to completing each commission and presenting the client's products and spokespersons in the most perfect way, which has always been my biggest goal.
However, around 2014, I began to gradually ponder a question: Do I have any work that I have created over the years and that I am proud of? Come to think of it, there isn't even one! So from that moment on, Meng gave birth to the idea of "creating for myself".
Gradually, I started to participate in some art-related courses, and accumulated readings of art history-related materials, and at the same time, I was also looking for creative themes.
During this process of continuous reflection and self-examination of my photography history, I gradually realized that my work has always been a balance between various opposing viewpoints, and then the shooting task is completed!
As a result, the creative plan of the "Original Appearance" series was started.
I will apply what I have learned in my life to my artistic creation. This is the plan for the second half of my life.
Chun Chun Liu
Born in Taitung, Taiwan, 1965.
As a commercial photographer in 1984, Liu initially shot for low cost exported magazines, later customized catalogues for design corporations, finally working all the way up to 4A advertisement nowadays.
Through Greenwindow Photo Studio, established in 1997, Liu works with advertising agencies and specializes in photographing celebrity endorsements and products.
Within more than thirty-year-long experience in photography industry, Liu, honored with several print advertising awards in Taiwan and overseas, has completed many well-known advertisement projects.
In the advertisement photography for decades, Liu has been devoted to perfecting projects about commodity advertisement or celebrity endorsements, which has been his goal.
However, around 2014, an idea came to Liu repeatedly: “It seemed that I had not created something of my own for years, even works that I could take pride in. Indeed, nothing.” From then on, Liu came up with the idea of creating works.
Before his creation, Liu took some courses regarding art. By reading texts on the art history, Liu managed to figure out his own style at the same time.
In retrospect and reflections on Liu's photography career, he came to realize that he needs to find a balance among opposite perspectives first, getting shooting done later.
Thus, the creation project Yuanmao in Chinese came out with a series of works.
Certainly, Liu dedicates himself as well as what he has learned to art creation, a plan for the rest of his life.
In life, we often come with many opinions, thoughts and ways on something.
Some share the same perspective while others are truly different.
In fact, the perspectives are like views in the viewfinder, unique yet narrow in comparison with one another, even you consider yours all-embracing.
