During April 2021, Taiwan experienced the worst drought in 50 years, and counties and cities have implemented zoning measures to cut off water. At this time, an abandoned salt field in Qigu, Tainan, presented a very special landscape due to the drought! The first time I visited, I was shocked by the landform of the scene. I immediately planned to create it as the original appearance, and led a professional aerial photography team a week later. Using a large aerial camera, equipped with a 50,000-pixel camera, fixed height of 90 meters, and a long lens, the entire landscape was captured by the scanning method. Finally, 430 files were stitched together to produce a 5.6 billion-pixel original work file, and the size of a single file was as high as 90.52GB! Then, 140 works of different sizes and proportions were released from this huge original file.
